The Xtreme Couture GI Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation, was founded by Randy and Kim Couture to honor the veterans of America's armed forces. The foundation was especially formed to raise money and awareness for those wounded in action and their families. To date, more than 24,000 U.S. troops have been wounded in the war against terrorism, which doesn’t include the many more suffering the mental effects.
Many of the injuries are traumatic amputations, gunshot wounds, burns and blast injuries that will retire these brave men and woman from the armed forces. Even though some of these men and woman are severely injured, they have the courage, strength and determination to win this battle.
The Xtreme Couture GI Foundation goal is to help these brave men and women fulfill any of their unmet needs as they return back to civilian life.
The following are examples of programs through the Xtreme Couture GI Foundation:
Urgent Financial Needs. The Foundation receives referrals from the Military Severely Injured Center for soldiers and families who are experiencing financial crises. The Foundation will assist in payments to prevent families from becoming homeless, paying bills for those who could not handle the extra expense of staying near their convalescing soldier, and helping discharged soldiers start their lives back home.
Texas Hold-Em Poker Tournament Saluting the American GI’s and honoring our wounded soldiers and their families. This annual event will be a fundraiser for the Foundation.
Golf Outing Saluting the American GI’s and honoring our wounded soldiers and their families. This annual event will be a fundraiser for the Foundation.
Paintball Weekend Saluting the American GI’s and honoring our wounded soldiers and their families. This annual event will be a fundraiser for the Foundation.
Xtreme Weekend. Wounded soldiers get to spend a weekend of motivation and inspiration with Randy Couture. This will be a significant experience in their lives as they are making the transition back to the civilian world.
Although these brave soldiers will face great challenges during their recovery, with the assistance of the Xtreme Couture GI Foundation and the help of the grateful American public, they will find the opportunities that will enable them to provide for themselves and their families.
